Witnessing some of the leadership issues that would rise up in a work place after promoting some members to be in supervisory or lead position , I got to realize the importance of training on such .

Authority could be overwhelming to some people . Some would be hesitant on how to use it and get afraid of it , some others could be overusing it and blinded by it .

Awareness and training sessions on the use of authority , the impact on the team and the association of authority with responsibility and people inspiration , are of an important aspect for better teams build-up.

Thought On Audit

A thought on Audit approach from Some of companies Senior Management’s side or Auditor’s side ( some of both of them ).
Some tend to perceive that a clean or concise audit report means that the Auditors did not perform their task well , even some auditors do not feel proud of their audit report came short and with few remarks And feel the Glory of Victory when the Audit reports comes full and fat.
Well First , A healthy operation enhances and improves year over year , so it is normal that points get reduced either after a while , or over a short period , it depends on the team and the plan . So do not feel bad about it , there are operations and people who do their own self audit where eventually many gaps are tackled
Second , It is not unusual to a clean and clear report or short report often . Audit job is to review and revert if things are good and not good , the criteria of work is completely irrelevant to how many points are up to the mark or not . His job is to verify and tick the boxes .
Airlines pilots do daily audits using their checklist before taking off and it s always clear , and this is reflected through the safety of air travel . Does a clear report means that they haven’t done their pre-flight audit ! sure not .
Leaders , Auditors and any concerned should get over this thought that always audit report should be big and full to reflect a job well done . Just be proud that someone is doing a good job in your company or the company that hired you to do the audit . Who would complaint about a good running operation ! ……………………. Shafik Alaaeddine
